I became a caregiver for my grandfather in 2013. In the beginning the need for my assistance was little. I did some light cooking, cleaning, running of errands and other small tasks he requested. Over the next couple years I took on more and more responsibility and in 2015 he had an accident that left him unable to remain out of bed for longer than a few minutes at a time. From this point I happily took on the responsibility of being his full-time and full-service caregiver. I took care of virtually every aspect of his daily life and began additionally helping him with transportation to and from doctors appointments and physical rehab/therapy, as well as mobility and grooming, yardwork and maintenance, vehicle repairs, and a number of other things that he had a tough time with after the accident. I found this experience to be extremely rewarding, allowing me to use my knowledge and understanding of his health complications to help him live an easier life when things got too difficult to do on his own. This in turn allowed me to develop a deep-rooted and long-lasting relationship with the man I admired for such a long time. Through the course of my 8 years as my grandfather's caregiver, I was able to develop and refine personal and professional skills that made daily tasks and activities easier and more efficient for both of us. Patience and understanding, sense of urgency, responsibility, reliability, respect and effective communication skills were some of these. I thoroughly enjoyed being able to take care of my grandfather and would enjoy the opportunity to provide the same level of assistance to other families in need.

Hello there! My name is Cecilia, and I am from the great state of Texas! I was born with a strong affection, empathy, and genuine interest in working with the old and senior populations! My story : I was raised for a short period of time by My great nana and uncle . When they became sick, they were moved into hospice care. I recall doing everything I could to brighten their spirits and provide them happiness and peace. But at those moments, I discovered my calling and purpose. Working with the elderly senior generation now has the same implications. Working with each family, I offer the same comfort, love, and peace. I find myself caring for this generation as if they were my own family. My goal with each family is to constantly provide light to each individuals I serve. I have a job that takes patience and a compassionate heart. Experience wise I've spent years in nursing homes, assisted living facilities, long-term care facilities, private homes, and one-on-one care, learning and practicing so many skills and equipment that I'm convinced I can assist you.

I am originally from Columbus TX but I recently moved to Gonzales TX last year. I have been a stay at home mom to two beautiful boys since last March but I am excited and eager to start working again! I have always been described as a very bubbly person and I have never been someone who hesitates when it comes to helping others. I try my best to learn and adapt to my environment as quickly as possible. When I lived in Columbus I helped out my elderly grandpa as much as I could and learned a lot about caregiving through those experiences. Some of my favorite memories are watching old westerns with him and sitting and listening to all of his stories. I can assure you, I will assist and provide companionship to your loved one with the love and respect I have for my own grandpa.

Hi! I'm Lyla. I have a passion for senior care work. I myself have assisted in helping my father until his last day battling cancer and Agent Orange. Just recently I have cared for my mother aiding her through her stages of Dementia and hospice care. I have worked 5 years as an Assistant Manager for an independent Senior Living Facility here in New Braunfels and am currently working as an independent through Carelinx . My experience is broad. I care deeply for seniors and get along well with everyone. I am empathetic to making sure they enjoy their final days compassionately, peacefully and within their own home. I have experience; first I took care of mom at home and in The Nursing home. She suffered from congestive heart failure and dementia. Same for 2 of my elderly aunts as well. I believe in life that has great quality of life. In as much as possible read with or to friend to exercise that brain. I enjoy being company and meeting clients needs. I have been blessed with compassion and joy that I can share. I believe all clients have done so much for the community they certainly deserve to be treated with loving care and respect. They deserve the best! My father was diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer. It was my responsibility to be the sole caregiver for him for 3 months. My partner of 24 years was diagnosed with renal failure and I was his caregiver for 5 years of dialysis and hospitalization. I did home dialysis with a solution and later did blood dialysis at home. I did his daily pills, insulin injection, and all the standard household duties in our home.

Hello my name is Olivia. I am a mother of 4 last 2 girls are attending Westlake High. I am bilingual, I enjoy being a caregiver i get to know my clients and help them to continue doing their hobbies they once use to do. I love to listen to stories they have endured while growing up. My clients I care for I take care of them as I would my own family. I was born & raised in San Marcos but moved to Kyle a couple months ago. My clients are mainly from Austin,Tx. My specific areas I have had my pleasure of working with my clients were Westlake/Rollingwood, Brookdale on Mesa Dr. / Baltierra / Querencia Assisted living/so many other places. I have been doing caregiving since I remember the first time my mom got diagnosed with being a diabetic I was about 15. So I learned about it by going with her to her appointments. So about 25+ yrs. of experience as I got older I cared for my mom then later my father til they past. I love taking care of others sometimes I wish there were more of me to help others. I have done it all from tube feeding to hoyer lift, Companion to bed bound. I do have a pharmacy tech. trainee certificate. If any more questions please do ask.
