I'm kind, passionate and have patience I decided to become a caregiver after my grandma was ill and I had taken her into my home and took care of her for 3 years and after she passed I had started looking for a agency to do caregiving with as I wanted to help other families with their loved ones I like being a caregiver cause I'm kind have patience and love to work with rhe elderly I have done alot of personal care skills training and also Alzheimer's and Dementia training

I am an experienced caregiver. I have been working in the caregiving field for approximately 5 years. I am also completing my bachelor's degree in Social Work. I will graduate in May. I do have references.

Being able to empathize allows me to put myself in the patient's shoes, and identify and ease the patient's fears or discomfort. Patience and flexibility. There'll be many hurdles along the way-the patient is being stubborn and uncooperative, the schedule doesn't go as planned, or difficult situations arise. I will find a way to deal with this in a positive way. Having a good sense of humor. Is a good indicator that I would be able to tolerate and deal with difficult situations, which is essential because caregiving involves conditions that more people would find hard or challenging.

I believe I have the personality traits needed to be a good caregiver. I am the second oldest of six kids and from a very young age I naturally assumed the responsibility of being "Mom #2". My parents instilled a very strong work ethic and moral principals that have contributed greatly throughout my years of experience in various fields. In 2014, I was privileged with the opportunity of caring for my grandmother in her final years. I provided help with caring for her daily basic needs, as well as administering medication, running errands, providing transportation and accompanying her to various appointments, cleaning house and daily meal preparation. My greatest accomplishment thus far, has been becoming a mother of three beautiful children. It is a role that I am very proud of and I'm confident it will continue to provide me with ongoing experience (especially in the are of multi-tasking)! I am best known for being a very compassionate individual, who is not only trustworthy but very dependable. I enjoy helping others in areas where I can utilize my skills and be of service. It is in this area that I excel most.
