I really enjoy helping people. No matter age gender. I've been doing this for quite sometime. I think the most I enjoy is being a companion. Cooking and cleaning a given but also just taking the time to listen and talk. I am a grandmother and being that is my biggest achievement ever!!!

Hello, My name is Bailey Griego, I am 20 years old. I am currently studying Elementary Education at Fort Lewis College earning my Bachelors. Whoever I am today is because of my family. My mom is a special education teacher, and my dad works for a telephone company. I grew up with a handicapped Aunt and when I was fifteen my grandpa got diagnosed with Alzheimer's. My favorite thing about taking care of my aunt is making her laugh and that always made me happy. I am a very caring, respectful, strong, understanding, and have a sense of humor. My favorite thing about caregiving is helping when needed, cooking, cleaning, organizing, and just helping with anything. Something that made me really consider caregiving is taking care of my aunt whenever my nana needed to go to the grocery store, doctor appointments, anywhere she needed I would watch my aunt for her. I really enjoyed it because I would make my aunt laugh all the time, I would feed her, make her meals , change her diapers after she ate. What I enjoy most about caregiving is working with people and interacting with others. And hearing their stories from their younger days, those always interest me. My most proudest moment for me is winning a region 9 championship on a torn labrum. I have never been so happy for myself the pain I was in and did not want to give up on my team, I told my myself I could push through it and I did by winning a region 9 championship.

Hello, my name is Theresa, I am 19 years old and a mom to one beautiful little boy named Ashton. When I was younger my older brother had went into the medical field and it opened my eyes to something I truly enjoy. I had left high school my sophomore year and went to college and got my CNA license, shortly after obtaining that I went back and got my GED. I truly enjoy being a caregiver or even someone who just gets to help people and give them the care they need.

I love to cook different types of food. I have lived in Mexico where I learned Spanish and how to cook Spanish food. I also know sign language. I love to read books and arts and crafts. I grew up with family members in the medical field. And have always enjoyed helping and caring for people . I enjoy hearing about other peoples life stories. I am very proud of myself for going back to school and earning my degree.

Hello! My name is Maddy and I am originally from Dove Creek, Colorado. After graduating from Colorado Mesa University in May of 2022, I have moved back down to the area. I am the first person in my family to graduate college. Although I majored in Criminal Justice, my main goal was to learn how to help people. The only experience that I have is what I have done to take care of my grandmother. Before leaving for college, my grandma suffered a massive heart attack, to which I helped my mom take care of her. She has since suffered a few strokes and has to have around-the-clock care. She has been my inspiration for caregiving, especially after she had an LPN for almost 35 years. My mom was also a CNA for awhile and I hope to follow in their footsteps. I enjoy being there for people, being a listening ear, as well as helping them with everyday tasks.
