I became a caregiver 12 years ago after my grandmother had a stroke. It was then that I truly realized my purpose. So I decided to leave the corporate workplace and pursue work in the home health care field. I love making a difference in the life of another human being. I am a loving caregiver with over 15 years of experience. I began as a teenager taking care of my own grandmother who suffered from Alzheimer's. I was trained in a hospital setting as a CNA. I have worked in multiple settings throughout the years, including; assisted living facilities, hospitals, and home care. I prefer to work in home versus a facility, as it allows for a more personal connection and attention. Having cared for my own ill family members, I can understand and relate to how stressful this time is. I pride myself in caring for every person as if they were my own loved one.
