I remain calm during critical decisions, ability to help maintain comfort in my clients during accidents or incidents. I have been in this field for close to 10 years. I'm a very fun outgoing person. I am a single mom of two kids ( young adults) I enjoy the beach, fishing,sunning,swimming and spending time with my family I got in this profession because my late grand mother had Alzheimer's and was wheel chair bound, I love the elderly and treat them with love,compassion and respect as they were my own. I feel the elderly paved the way for our generation, have put in many years of their heart and soul into our communities in some way and deserve to be in their own environment where they feel comfortable and safe. In my eyes not only am I helping them but they help me as well, from stories of their past to the way the world has changed. I have not met an elderly person that I haven't learned something from. I allways wanted to be in the nursing field all my family are nurses. I like giving the help to others that need it because in the long run were going to need the help oneday also. I became a care giver when my dad had prostate cancer, I assisted him to doctor appointments, home health care and hospice. As I watch my dad who was a strong caring provider become weaker every day and pass away in Hospice, I laid on the bed beside him and I promised him I would always provide care and loving support to everybody that I could. I will always be his little girl. I feel good being important to someone, what ever they need..

Hello! My name is Amanda. I am a Mommy to a 5 year old girl and a 3 year old little boy. I worked for 4 years in Nursing home and also did some in home health care! I received my license in SC and since have relocated to FL. I earned my CNA through York Technical College. I am currently an online student at SNHU and my focus is Psychology. I am a hard worker. I am also very caring and have experience in this field although it has been a few years since I worked in this type of work setting. When I worked in the Nursing home my wing was the Dementia wing.
