Since a child I've always wanted to be in the health field , I grew up trying to help as many people as I possibly could . During my final year of middle I applied to the Academy of health professions program at Gainesville High School where I spent my four years of high school learning about the health field . Before Graduating I was able to sit for the state CNA exam where I earned my license and have been practicing since. What I enjoy the most about the health field is being able to make a change in patients lives . Even if I can't change their outcomes I know for certain I can change their moods and put a smile on their faces just by listening to what they have to say and reassuring them that I'm there for them . Everyone deserves to be in a good mood .

What attracted to you being a caregiver? I enjoy working with people and most enjoy jobs where you have one-on-one interaction with others. I enjoyed taking care of elder family members and would like to help others in this way. I like older adults and feel you can get along well with a variety of elders.

I love to make people smile. Caregiving became my passion around the age of 12. My mother who is an RN, opened her first home care business. The rest was history as they say! Hearing the stories from the past, life lessons, experiences from people who were light years ahead of me. It's been a joy getting to know different cultures & views. My passion is helping those who can't help themselves. A majority of the people I take care of are veterans. I wouldn't have it any other way! Sacrificing for the people who have done for the same for us is nothing less than an honor. My proudest achievement would be that people remember me & ask for me even when my work with them is done. Even though I've been employee of the month multiple times. Nothing compares to hearing from your residents mouth that they appreciate you for all you do.

I became a caregiver because i wanted to help others to help themselves and because I enjoy knowing that I can make a difference in someones life.
