I like to look at my client as if I am caring for my own Loved one is what helps me become a better caregiver. What attracted me to become a caregiver is that I was looking after my grandma and I was the only one around and helping, while other family was out living life when there own mom needed them the most. So after she passed i looked into being a caregiver and have been doing my job every since. What I enjoy most about being a caregiver is that they tell a lot of amazing story's, and you can pick up a lot of wisdom from them as well. I started in the medical field at the age of 16, because Iknew that that was what i wanted to do. I continued on when I went to the air force working with my fellow soldiers, when I came back home I have worked in Drs office , and ultimately working for elderly and Hospice. It is very fulfilling to know that I can make a difference and put a smile on someones face just by being there. Helping people is my PASSION

I can use hoyer lift as well as sit to stand lift gait belts,, etc.. I am dedicated to my clients and their needs. I became a caregiver around 1979, always felt needed wanting to help the elderly people of all kinds. I enjoy being around people when it comes to helping the sick. I will be their for them if needed. You have to be patient understanding caring know their needs and provide lots of TLC. I took care of a elderly for 14 years, she was in a wheel chair when I met her. also a heavy drinker. Within that 14years of my caring for her I was able to help her family and the client to make a decision for the client to under go knee surgery. She was able to walk for 6 years which was joyful time for her. Few more years after that she was able to give up drinking with a little of my help. I was very happy to see this achievement. The family was proud to see this accomplishment and thank me for my assistance. This made me feel so happy and wonderful that I was able to be their for them. I am a understanding and caring person when I can help someone that needs my services I will be their. I also enjoy traveling being around my grandchildren, love my church, I love to keep up with my landscape, enjoy exercising, and focus on my health.
