I BECAME A CAREGIVER, PROFESSIONALLY, AFTER TAKING CARE OF BOTH MY PARENTS , MY DEAR SISTER, AND MY HUSBAND, WHO WERE ALL TERMINALLY ILL AND ON HOSPICE FOR MANY MONTHS EACH. EVEN AS A CHILD I TOOK CARE OF ALL MY DOZENS OF COUSINS AS BABIES, EVERY CHANCE I GOT. CARING FOR OTHERS HAS ALWAYS BEEN MY PASSION IN LIFE. I AM COMPASSIONATE AND CARE FOR OTHERS AS I WOULD WANT MY FAMILY MEMBERS TO BE CARED FOR. QUALITY OF LIFE IS SO IMPORTANT. MY COMPASSION FOR MAKING SURE THAT EACH PERSON RECEIVE QUALITY CARE, NO MATTER THE NEED, IS MY HAPPINESS AS A CAREGIVER. AND BY THE WAY, I JUST WANT YOU TO KNOW THAT I LOVE ANIMALS. ALSO, I RESPECT THE FACT THAT SOME FOLKS SMOKE. EVEN THOUGH I HAVE NEVER SMOKED MYSELF, MY COMPASSIONATE NATURE ALLOWS ME TO BE CONSIDERATE AND UNDERSTANDING OF MY PATIENTS WISHES. ONE MORE THING. ...I HAVE A SENSE OF HUMOR, AND A POSITIVE ATTITUDE, WHICH I FEEL, IS ONE OF THE THINGS THAT GETS US THROUGH LIFE OPTIMISTICALLY!! .

I am an outgoing person, I am passionate about many things in life. I became a CNA (certified Nurses Assistant) in 2015 after the passing of my mom in 2011. What makes me a great caregiver is that I am compassionate and empathize with my clients. I am there to help them, YES but I want them to feel that I care about them and will be there when they need me. I became a caregiver and chose this path for myself because I know what it feels like to have no one beside me and also does my grandmother and that's why I have been by her side . I'm a compassionate, kind and friendly person. I always want to make a difference in someone's life. I took great care of my grandparents and I experience first hand the happiness I felt so I continue working as a caregiver after they passed. I love getting to know and serve a lot of people from different backgrounds. As I help them I also get trained to improve my professional level of service. Lots of accomplishments, all my patients I took care of mostly bedbounds never had a bedsore. And I am proud of that I feel I am doing my job right. Those that refuse eat I have a way of distracting them and engaging with them that makes them forget their worries and eventually do what they refuse to do.
