My name is Hanna Besterman. I have so much respect and love towards older generation. When I was young my Polish grandma was my mentor, idol and love of my life. It was my honor that last 5 years of her life I could take care of her and make her comfortable in my apartment in Poland. I always felt connected to older generation. I deeply believe with my whole heart that they deserve our patience, our dedication and our best care with compassion, love and and always with smile ... and optimism. My passion thruout my entire life was and still is helping and supporting the most vulnerable individuals. My professional background is speech pathologist. For more then 20 years I have worked with individuals who suffered from aphasia, memory lost, mental health problems, blindness, vision impairments, , intellectual and physical disabilities. I am very proud of helping my patients to be able to improve their quality of life and be part of the community. Top of that I have a lots of energy and much love in me,to give to elderly person. My education and life experience gave me the knowledge, the skills to be a great care taker. I am also trustworthy, kind, easy going and very positive person. I am bio languages - English and Polish. I've enjoyed being a caregiver for over 15 years now. I started in a nursing home, and then, after my father became ill, I took over all of his care. I have been doing private in home care ever since. It gives me much joy to be able to help others .... whether it be as a caregiver, friend, or great listener to loved ones and their families. Hello! My name is Heather Dunmire, I have been in the medical field for 8 years now. My first job out of high school was a nurses aide position. I went on to further my education and obtain my CNA license in January 2017. I have a strong passion for wanting to help others and wanting to see them succeed. I have worked in a childcare facility as a shift supervisor before but I always find my way back to my elderly folk, that is where I feel my heart is at and where I feel I do my best work. I love hearing their stories from all throughout their lives, and I absolutely love to see the smiles on their faces. I like to really take the time to find out what their dislikes and likes are, get to know their routine of things, and try to connect with them in a way to make them feel safe and secure. I am cpr, first aid, aed, and Heimlich trained. I am also diabetic trained and medication trained, and insulin trained and I have a customer service certification. One thing that attracted me to being a caregiver is that I absolutely love helping people and making them feel better. Seeing them have a good day helps me have a better day. Some of the traits that I have that help with this job is empathy. Empathy is a huge thing to have as a caregiver. Really, I absolutely love having a bond with my patients/residents. Seeing myself being able to help people and make their lives a little bit easier is what brings me to work. The one big achievement that I'm proud of is that I moved states away from my son to earn my state certifications.

I currently am an Occupational Therapist Assistant looking for an extra income. I love helping and assisting people. I am a graduate of Penn State Dubois with an Associate degree. I am qualified with transfers, care, and cpr/first aid certified.
