What makes me a great caregiver , I love my clients as well as what I do I enjoy being able to help those who need more help than others or just even being a opening ear to talk to , I think what made me want to be in this Field is seeing my mother do it she has always been my inspiration, after I was old enough to try for myself I seen how people would treat the residents and I wasn't to happy about it , I've always said you treat people how you want to be treated or how you would want your parents treated or grandparents etc if they were in a situation of the sort . My name is Kaitlyn Armstrong. I go by Kate. I live with my partner in a small 1940's cottage style house that we renovated together. We have a 4 year old German Shepherd named Axl, a kitten named Stevie, and a pit/lab mix puppy named Peach. I've been drawn to caregiving from a young age, since, when I was 8 years old, my mom was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease. This instilled in me a passion for helping others with disabilities, and their families, who I know work so hard already. I have been her caregiver ever since, and have worked professionally in the field for the last couple years. I love the real human connection that comes with this profession. I feel that my sensitive nature and intuition helps me to understand a person's needs even when that person may be unable to communicate them. A personal achievement that I am proud of is graduating from CNA class with a perfect score. I do my best to be respectful, thorough, efficient, and discreet. I am excited to get the opportunity to help as many people, and families as I can.

I became a caregiver in 2004 because I'd spent the last few years of my grandmother's life helping her while she suffered with dementia. I saw how important it was for them to have someone there to help them with the day to day when family couldn't be. Then after I got into the profession my love for helping others just grew. To see the joy it brings to the person to sometimes just have someone there for a companion. I've been working in child care since 2019 and intend to stay there but I've also began part time home health again since July 2021 and am so thankful that I did. In the last year I have 5 of the absolute most wonderful families that I love going to see, helping them makes my heart smile. One client even tells his wife, "I'm sure glad she's coming today because I miss her, she's a sweet little girl". I feel such a connection with my clients that to me, they aren't just clients, they are family?

I am a Christian , my husband is a Pastor and my passion is to help people to have a safe and happy day by providing my help as far as cooking, cleaning or just to be someone to listen to them, or visit with, to let them know that they are loved and special.
