I became a caregiver in 2004 because I'd spent the last few years of my grandmother's life helping her while she suffered with dementia. I saw how important it was for them to have someone there to help them with the day to day when family couldn't be. Then after I got into the profession my love for helping others just grew. To see the joy it brings to the person to sometimes just have someone there for a companion. I've been working in child care since 2019 and intend to stay there but I've also began part time home health again since July 2021 and am so thankful that I did. In the last year I have 5 of the absolute most wonderful families that I love going to see, helping them makes my heart smile. One client even tells his wife, "I'm sure glad she's coming today because I miss her, she's a sweet little girl". I feel such a connection with my clients that to me, they aren't just clients, they are family?

Caregiver is More than taking care of someone! Its about the passion of taking care of a love one and having understanding with another. Taking care of another doesnt Bother me at all. I do it all the time but not as a caregiver but My grandparents I have Helped them clean oustide ,inside the home ,also medicines ,Animals and more. Im honor that I get a chance of thaking care of the people I love them most ,however Im more proud that they know that someone who actually Cares is with them and that they will be Happy.

I've been CNA certified in Cambridge Ohio in 2004 at Victorian Oaks where I worked with Althiemerz and Dementia patients. I love what I do so when I returned to Texas I decided to further my career and go to school for nursing. I completed my LVN, RN and I'm working on my BSN. I'm very passionate about what I do and I apply myself with my whole heart. I started out working in the kitchen dishwasher n I saw people taking care of residents in the nursing home n so one day I decided that I wanted to be a care giver taking care of the residents when I started I couldn't do it I cried because I was the type of person didn't like to start something and couldn't finish so I prayed to the Lord and ask him to give me a strong hearth an mind to be a good certified nurses aide n he did and I became one and I been a nurses aide for years then I became a medaide been that for 21 years that's how I got started

The most I enjoy about being a caregiver is be able to care for the elder and treat them if they was my own grandparents and be there for them when they need someone the most. My personal achievement would be being 110% to patients and helping them accomplish whatever it might be.
