Hello! My name is Carter shell, I am a graduate from Arkansas State University. I served 5 years of running track and completing school to receive my degree in communications. A few things about me is that number one people always notice how tall I am; I'm a soaring 6'5 so getting things from the top shelf is never a problem! I love to take care of people in need in general whether them be younger than me, my age, or with people more experienced to life. I basically had to take care of my grandmother for probably about 6 years after she took care of me while I grew up enough to return the favor. If someone is in need of anything, when they know from their own will power that they can't get whatever task they may want to get done in that moment done; then people like me; full of life and handy should not have a problem helping others out in a positive manner. I'm very open to conversations just because I get caught up talking to much to my girl friend about everything there is to talk about and she isnt much of a talker. So having a convo with anyone would spark a sense of communication and I could perhaps expand their attention span back to where it should be.. because elderly people tend to lose memory more quickly than younger people. Nothing really attracted me to wanting to be a caregiver besides the fact of it becoming a positive habit of taking care of my grandma. She'd say thank you sometimes, and she wouldn't say anything sometimes, but the only thing that gave me drive was the fact of knowing I was there to help, and that they know I am there for them at all times. The thing I mostly enjoy most about care giving is the deed itself. I feel warm when I get things done for people in need. It's kinda like a warm caregiving high.. if I were to sum it up. A personal achievement that I can say that I am most proud of within myself is that I was the first male on each side of my family to graduate college with a bachelors degree. It was always a task of mine!

I have been a PCA for 3 years. Becoming a PCA is what I am proud of. I do my best to provide the best care possible. I enjoy caring for people. I am a very caring person. Loving to take care of people really made me get in the health field as a PCA.
