I have 18+ years experience as a LNA/ CNA/MA/Housekeeper. I am CPR/BLS and First Aid certified. I have worked in Hospitals, Nursing Homes, Homecare and Hospice. A majority of my clients have been diagnosed with Dementia. I have alot of extended learning learning hours with Alzheimer's. I absolutely love working with seniors. I can't imagine doing anything else in this life. I have been out on my own for, five years now, I love the one on one contact of homecare. Integrity is the word I use to describe myself. I always do the right thing, even when no one is looking. Because I am honest and dependable, the work continues to flow. I usually work within the same family for a very long time. I can administer medications and insulin, take vitals, personal care, housekeeping, transportation, cooking, pet care, hospice, really anything you need I can help. I've been in the caregiving field for 17 years. I started out volunteering in a nursing home and then went from that to live in Care. I have worked extensively in in-home care and at small group homes and big facilities as well. I've worked with a wide variety of clients and conditions. I have a passion for helping people and want to be there for those that don't have anybody else. I'm able to genuinely care but separate myself at the same time, which has made me very good at my job. I care about the quality of care that our patients receive and always do my best to improve their lives to the best of my ability when I work with people.

Prior to being a professional caregiver, I took care of my grandmother before she passed and I seen that my passion is to take care of people and love. That's my calling. I love all my clients, residents and individual who is needing assistance. My favorite part of caregiving and the most rewarding is the friendship between you and that individual. I wouldn't trade my job for the world!

I became a caregiver, because I like to be of service. I have an AA degree in Mental Health and Human Services, and have worked in the field for over 25 years. I started out working Direct care and then went on to provide staff training on how best to serve a variety of individuals. What I love about care-giving is that I am able to use my skills on a one on one bases to improve the quality of life for the customer. One of the things that I am most proud of is that I had a client that everyone told me that she was unable to do anything to help herself, such as eating bathing and communicating her needs. When I worked with her in 6 moths she was able to feed herself and she was able to communicate her needs to me as well as others. Love, respect and honor moves mountains. I have years of experience in the service field and I am an excellent communicator and love to support each individual in living a life of joy and love.

I started out as a CNA (Certified Nurse Aide) in 1987 and have worked in Assisted Living, Retirement, Nursing Homes and Private Homes, so, yes, I have a LOT of experience, training and education in this wonderful field of caring. But the reason that I am a GREAT Caregiver is because... I truly Love to be of help to others.. I LOVE to CARE. I used to pray to God..."Give me the tough ones, please God, give me the hard ones." Why did I ask God that favor? Because I know that I have the heart and the stamina...the responsibility...the respect...the love to do this labor of love. I have seen many caregivers in the long time I have doing this work. Some just needed a job. Luckily there are a few good ones like me who's hearts are into it. People who are in need of anything from a companion to serious nursing/hospice care... tread in waters not familiar to most of us. I have been there... I have been there many times, the needs are many and often times extremely demanding. Feeding, reading, washing, cooking, cleaning, driving......knowing when to speak and what to say..... knowing when to quietly listen. This is what I believe I was put here on earth to do.
