I became a caregiver in August 2009 for my father, Brian. After a series of tests my father was diagnosed with early - stage of cancer. I have always taken care of my father because my mother was never around to provide support to the family. His condition is still in the early stages, but I am worried about the future. This situation brought my father and I closer. His condition has made me realize that this is career move that I wanted to peruse. I am not a caregiver by career but by choice. I am a caregiver that truly cares about helping others and want to make a difference in the lives of seniors and their families. I am caring, punctual, respectful, outgoing, honest, patient, professional and organized.

I have been working in the health field for the last 10 last years. I've grown to really love my job I am Reliable respectful and a hard worker. I've worked with the seniors and , Disable clients as well as clients with with mental health issues. I Have experience. bathing, feeding changing dressing Physical therapy, I have not had a challenge that I wasn't able to complete. I love when I complete a task and the patient is happy. I try to focus on positive parts of life with my clients

I believe what makes me a great caregiver is that I take care of all my patients as if they were my own family and make sure they are comfortable and most importantly I listen to their needs. I first became interested in health care when my mother was ill and needed care herself and realized that I had a real passion for helping others. At Long Beach Memorial I was know as the "sitter whisper" because whenever they had a difficult patient they would alway assign me that patient and by the end of the day the patient would no longer require restraints or was completely compliant and friendly.
