Hello I am Alicia- I have done private home care for approx. 15+ years. I find it very rewarding to give the care I wish to receive for myself or family members if/when I may need help doing everyday tasks. I raised 4 children & now have beautiful grandbabies to enjoy & visit them as often as I'm able to. For the past year & a half I've lived with my dad caring for him and his COPD- on November 21, 2022 he lost the fight against his disease. I started helping my grandparents at a young age. I could relate to them, and would sit and listen to 78 rpm records, w/ my grandfather, and he would tell me stories about the music we listened to. I traveled around the World, w/ my parents at their families,and would have to help them in their needs. In 2000, I started working at Nursing Homes in Boulder, and have continued to this day. I can relate to the elderly, whether they are male or female. I like seeing them happy and pleased, when I have helped them in any way. The fact that I have been with various clients for over 6 yrs. continuously, before they have passed on. I live in Lafayette, Colo. Am a homeowner, am very religiously minded, and am always putting "other people first", before myself. I always think of the aspect of: "how would I feel, were I in the other individuals' shoes?" and how they would want to be treated?

Hello, I am married I have 4 children, I have been an dental assistant for 25yrs. I have been a caregiver as well for the last five years off and on for friends and family and neighbors. I love being a caregiver. To be able to spend time with them and help them. I am a natural nurture. It makes my heart happy, I have decided to work solely with caregiving so I can be home more with my elementary children. Thank you for considering me to take care of your loved ones.
