Being a caregiver has always been a passion of mine starting back in high school. I started as a CNA for many years, eventually going back to school for more training and completing the LPN course. I continue to provide caregiver services to many families in Vero Beach. CPR/First aid certified. Flexible hours and days.

have been in the health care field for over 20 years plus. I am a Pharmacy/IV Technician, Medical Assistant and Medical Office Manager. Although I enjoyed my "work", the most enjoyable and rewarding experiences were the relationships I made with my patients. I have also worked in home health and have cared for patients that have had strokes, dementia and cancer. My passion is making each and every one of my patients know that I respect them as a person, I value their life experiences, where they came from and the wisdom they have gained over the years. My personality is always extremely cheerful, positive and upbeat and it is contagious! I looked forward to seeing and interacting with them and they with me! My dad had Alzheimer's and I assisted in his care and managed his medical care until his death. I was his voice when he no longer had one. Over the years I have also helped take care of grandparents and other family members. This gave me the experience and ignited the fire and passion I have for elder care, I am their biggest "cheerleader" and best friend but also know how to encourage and be firm when it is tied directly to their medical well being!

Hello I am a active adult who is a registered nurse recently retired. I love taking care of people and helping them out with the necessary skills to enhance their lives.

I am a loving caregiver with over 15 years of experience. I began as a teenager taking care of my own grandmother who suffered from Alzheimer's. I was trained in a hospital setting as a CNA. I have worked in multiple settings throughout the years, including; assisted living facilities, hospitals, and home care. I prefer to work in home versus a facility, as it allows for a more personal connection and attention. Having cared for my own ill family members, I can understand and relate to how stressful this time is. I pride myself in caring for every person as if they were my own loved one.

After high school I worked with children for 8 years in group homes and in a psychiatric hospital before discovering Occupational Therapy. For the last 11+ years I have worked in skilled nursing facilities working with older adults with disabilities as an Occupational Therapy Assistant to increase their independence with meaningful activities. I enjoy making a positive impact in peoples lives by providing encouragement and love using humor in my work. I recently moved from Maine to Florida and am licensed as an Occupational Therapy Assistant, with a current NBCOT certification.

During my tenure at Palm Gardens Health and Rehab Center, I provided home health care for a rotation of 10 to 12 patients per week, five days a week. My responsibilities included light housework, giving baths, preparing small snacks, reading to patients, helping them around the house, helping patients use the restroom, providing companionship, keeping track of appointments, and feeding patients. I am very passionate about the well-being of my patients. I believe that the elderly are a valuable and important generation, full of wisdom and knowledge and that they need to be cared for and protected.
