I have a personality that can, and will adapt to so far, anyone that I've worked with. I absolutely love and take pride in my career. There's such a huge need for caregivers and DSP's and the way I look at it, the generation that we're caring for are the ones that took care of us. So, yes, I treat them with respect and give them the care they need.

I make caregiving fun, I have a funny personality and I love being able to help others. I like being a caregiver because i took care of my grandma before she passed away and it makes me feel closer to her. I like being a caregiver because i like having one on one time with people and learning their stories. I work at a nursing home currently and i often get messages from families thanking me for how good i treat their family member.

I have experience in both medical and psychiatric care. My specialties are dual disorders with both mental health issues and medical diagnosis. Ages of population runs from 18mo. to 93 years.

I have been a caregiver for 25 years in various types of areas. I owned a state licensed adult familyhome for adults with disabilities for 15 years. Adults were referred to my home by Health and Human Services. I provided a home and all aspects of daily living, social interactions, doctor appointments, medications, meals, household tasks as well as promoting the independence of each individual. I have also provided care for an elderly woman at first in her house and then in my house when her needs began to increase and she couldn't stay alone anymore. In addition, I have provided in home care to 2 children with disabilities and complex medical needs. I enjoy what I do because I love the satisfaction of helping to improve others lives. I consider myself to be a very caring, empathetic, dedicated, self driven person. I would think that those I've worked with would say the same.

I was state tested for 16 years . I have done. Private care and worked in nursing homes . I am a very empathetic person . Who cares about people , old and young . I enjoy hearing my elders story of their life , what they did for a living , what it was like when they were young. I am a very hard working woman . I have earned everything I have .
