I have always been a caregiver and it is something that comes naturally. I've taken care of my sister for many years, she was a quadriplegic. I've also been a paraprofessional to children and worked as an RN for 17 yrs. in the areas of LTC/Rehab., home health, and Hospice care.

I have a passion for putting others first and it is the most rewarding thing a person can do but the reward is not the motivator behind my choice to be a care giver, I enjoy what I do. what I like about caregiving is the fact that am able to provide care for my client and the smile on their faces shows satisfaction. I like to put 100% on my job and at the same time sense of humor, laughter means so much to me.

I think I have a true calling to patient care. I enjoy getting to know each one, and find a connection. I have the patient's to understand their needs. And I'm thorough in my care, and getting my patients to understand the care I'm about to give. I enjoy knowing that I'm giving someone the opportunity to continue living without worry of not being able to do the things their physically unable to do any longer. To give them dignity. And trust that someone is there that cares.

I have been in the health care field 20+yrs. I am hard working, a quick learner, and not afraid to ask questions if I don't understand. I enjoy helping people of all ages and take pride in giving excellent care to people that most of our society unfortunately seem to dismiss. We all have value and we never know what a blessing we are in other people's lives. I enjoy finding these blessings in others and reinforcing them. I truly enjoy caring for others and my pts can feel that about me. I'm very competent in many fields and enjoy a challenge. I am quick with a smile or laugh and often cope with stress using humor (usually laughing at myself ) . If I can get them to laugh they will relax, or get them thru an unpleasant or painful situation. I believe you can get thru anything in life using music and humor. I received my LPN license in 2001, after being a stay at home mom. On a personal note, to answer your question, I have learned several hard lessons in the past few years. 1) never allow a boyfriend to do your taxes. Lol 2) never hire an attorney to handle a tax problem without reading the fine print. Lol 3) the crazy way the state of OK handles all licenses be it a contractor, a plumber, or a nurse. They take away your livelyhood so you have no ability to pay them. 4) the resilience I have within myself to roll with the punches. And laugh. Lol Thank you for your time and consideration

I grew up with a grandmother who suffered from mental illness and then from dementia as she got older. I always enjoyed the time I spent with her regardless of her disabilities. I enjoyed helping her make her day easier and putting a smile on her face. After she passed away I found that I had this emptiness I wanted to fill with helping others. I worked in a facility for awhile and decided the companionship was lost in policies and wanted to try in home care instead and fell in love. I enjoy hearing stories of peoples past, and helping them accomplish little things that put a big smile on their faces. I have decided to follow this calling of helping people by continuing my education and becoming a nurse. Through the classes I am taking I had to get a background check so I don't have one on here but have one and it's clean!

I am Daisy Kinsey, 19 years old. I went to Owasso High School and Tulsa Technology. I have a Certified Nurse Aid certification, Home Health Aid, and current up to date CPR. I am very passionate when it comes to the elderly generation. I'm very helpful, willing to do anything to help take care of my patient/resident. I love being a caregiver because I was always wanted to be in the medical field and here I am.
