I love being a caregiver/CNA. I've been a CNA for over 25 years. It gives me alot of pleasure taking care of the elderly. I'm a very caring & compassionate person. The reason why I started becoming a caregiver was because my brother just got diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. I used to take care of him before he went into the nursing home. I'm very hard working & enjoy listening to my clients history, for example where they are from & what they used to do for a living. I would treat your loved one like I would my own with up most respect. I really enjoy getting to know my clients & I feel like they are part of my family. If I can make them smile & laugh then I know I'm doing my job because some of my clients don't have much family or friends & they get very lonely & depressed. My personal achievement is taking care of sick & elderly patients.

I'm very outgoing, I love to talk and make sure there's a smile on others faces, I love interacting and getting to know my clients. What attracted me to be a caregiver was I took care of my aunt while she had cancer and I love making sure they are okay and don't feel alone. I enjoying getting know them and learning what their needs are and making sure they know that they have somebody!

I have been an emergency technician for the past 26 years. I took care of a vast array of patients including many who were in critical condition. I recently left the ER to be the caretaker for a husband and wife. I am responsible for bathing, cooking, grocery shopping, medication distribution, and household cleaning. Its a joy being able to help keep them out of a nursing home. The wife has end stage COPD and the husband has Parkinsons. I am especially proud that because of my efforts they are still living at home. The relationship I have built with them has been well worth it too. The husband has even given me the nickname Christmas because he looks forward to seeing me every morning.

I'm a caregiver who is honest dependable never late for work, I love what I do I take passion in caring for my clients. I have been a care giver for 37 years. I became interested in being a caregiver when a lady ask me for help she told me that she was not able to bathe herself. which I did help her and did not take any money from her she thanked me. So after that I assisted her with her care when I could and helped her to find more help. that is when I decided that this is what I wanted to do. I like seeing their faces when they get the help that they need just seeing that smile on their face is priceless. My personal achievement that I'm so proud of. I worked with this lady who wanted to work part time I found her a job which she had to volunteer for a week to see if she was able to do the work. I assisted her showing her what she needed to do. after 3 days she was offered the job I was so proud of her. she worked part time at the job and later was offered a supervisory position.

Hi, my name is Cassandra but everyone calls me Cassie! I have helped take care of my grandfather, who has had dementia for over 10 years. When I moved away to school last fall, I began working as a direct care worker for a company, but found that I like private home healthcare better. My time with the two families I helped while away at school was amazing, and I was sad to leave them when I returned home for summer break. I have worked extensively with dementia patients, and I have experience with patients who have MS. I am very compassionate, patient, and hardworking and I truly care about the people I help. The thing I enjoy most about being a caregiver is that each person I help teaches me something new, and I love hearing their stories and learning about their lives.

I became a caregiver many years ago for the look in someone's eyes when you have truly helped them weather it was helping in bathing or a cup of coffee, my grandma had Alzheimer's and I was privileged enough to be one of the many great people who where able to care for her. I wanted to be a caregiver since my sophomore year of high school. I did a year of medical assisting and a year of home health care.
