My name is Shantell. I am a proud mother of three wonderful adult children and blessed with three amazing grandchildren. I have been working in health care since a young age, starting off being a health care aide for my blind grandmother at the tender age of 8 years old. From there on I found my passion in life. During my years as working as a personal care aide, I had the opportunity to take care of my parents during their last days. In doing so, I was able to gain a personal insight on the importance of having the right person taking care of your loved ones, which gave me an even greater passion for the work I do. I realized the importance of giving each and every person who I take care of the same love and care as I gave my loved ones while taking care of them. As well as the respect and honor to have the opportunity to be a part of their life.

Hello! I have been working in healthcare for over 29 years. I have worked in hospitals, nursing and rehabilitation facilities, on a hospice unit, and private duty care.

I love caring for people and seeing smiles on my patients faces,making them feel good about themselves and just giving back what good that has come my way.I also became a CNA to take care of my parent's when they grow old I'm a loving, caring, and very passionate person. I'm also in school to become a Registered Nurse will graduate in 2019 with my bachelor's degree.

I love being a caregiver/CNA. I've been a CNA for over 25 years. It gives me alot of pleasure taking care of the elderly. I'm a very caring & compassionate person. The reason why I started becoming a caregiver was because my brother just got diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. I used to take care of him before he went into the nursing home. I'm very hard working & enjoy listening to my clients history, for example where they are from & what they used to do for a living. I would treat your loved one like I would my own with up most respect. I really enjoy getting to know my clients & I feel like they are part of my family. If I can make them smile & laugh then I know I'm doing my job because some of my clients don't have much family or friends & they get very lonely & depressed. My personal achievement is taking care of sick & elderly patients.

I'm very outgoing, I love to talk and make sure there's a smile on others faces, I love interacting and getting to know my clients. What attracted me to be a caregiver was I took care of my aunt while she had cancer and I love making sure they are okay and don't feel alone. I enjoying getting know them and learning what their needs are and making sure they know that they have somebody!

I have been an emergency technician for the past 26 years. I took care of a vast array of patients including many who were in critical condition. I recently left the ER to be the caretaker for a husband and wife. I am responsible for bathing, cooking, grocery shopping, medication distribution, and household cleaning. Its a joy being able to help keep them out of a nursing home. The wife has end stage COPD and the husband has Parkinsons. I am especially proud that because of my efforts they are still living at home. The relationship I have built with them has been well worth it too. The husband has even given me the nickname Christmas because he looks forward to seeing me every morning.

I am a certified nursing assistant with 16 years experience. I enjoy taking care of people. I am very dependable and have alot of compassionate for the sick.

I have always had the desire to help individuals to live a more rewarding life. It is a wonderful feeling to take away someones pain/ worries/ problems. I have cared for and raised five children and worked caring for people in multiple settings for over 25 years. I am on my own again and have relocated to my hometown of Somerset to start fresh. I am anxious to reconnect with the area and love caring for individuals on a one on one basis. Having been an RN for many years, I would very much love to care for people in their homes and treat them as family. I would like to be the extra pair of arms we all need from time to time. Going to Doctor's visits, trips to the grocery store, light housekeeping, general household pickup, walks in the park, general companionship, etc. I love to sew and read. My mom was sickly when I was growing up so I always helped her and knew that I had a passion for it! I love being able to help others and make sure they get the best possible experience! What do you enjoy most about being a caregiver? The ability to help others and provide them the assistance and care they need! What is a personal achievement you are proud of? Continuing my education.

I enjoy taking care of people. I think that any one that you care for should be treated like family, and making them smile. I am proud of myself for raising a wonderful son on my own, the experience was wonderful and would not change any thing. I am a very caring person, I took care of my father, and now I am caring for my mother. We only have one set of parents and they deserve there childrens respect and love. I am happy to be in this position and again would not change a thing. I had the experience of doing 24 hour care and have been hooked ever since. I am a very caring, responsible,dependable, honest and trusting person and have always had a good rating on being on time for work, stayed to work over time and best showing up for my shift every day. I like caring for people it makes me feel that what ever I do for them gives me a great feeling inside to be helpful. If you can help keep your patient happy and at ease when you are with them is a great feeling also, taking care of people that are not feeling well or that are sick takes a special type of person. Not every one is cut out for it.
