I've been caring for elderly for about 15 years. Started with my grandma and having her tell me thank you so much and being appreciative of the small things I would do to make her smile did it for me. That's when I grew the passion to care for others. I love taking care to elderly as if they were my grandparents. I always make sure I give it that extra 110%!

I have always been passionate about making the lives of those I care for owing to my experience in clinical practice as a an LVN/LPN licensed Nurse and a volunteering work in healthcare in which I have managed the aged and elderly and built a wonderful relationship with them which has helped the outcome of daily living, much improved. Owing to this experience, its been my passion to continue on such opportunities to provide quality care for my clients to make their lives much better.

I work very well with our Alzheimer's family, as it has become a very important part of my life. I maintain a ALS, CPR and a BLS License. Hi Ive been in the medical field in various levels of patient care over 35 years. I have prenursing training and education , Im a registered Phlebotomist and Medical Assistant, much more than a CNA. After caring for my 95 year old mom for 6 years; the realization needing an xtra hand, if nothing else to get a break , was challenging to locate a professional quality caregiver that actually knew what they were doing, and were reliable. I've been in the healthcare field for almost 10yrs. My motto is to be the caregiver that I want in the future. I've worked in many nursing homes, assisted living and memory care facilities. When I worked at autumn Leaves as a CNA, I was offered the position as a Life Engagement Specialist. Within my new position, my role included conducting activities and exercises. When I started the exercise routine, I made some changes to make it more fun for everyone. Within 3months, it went from 20% participation to 60%. I've worked with all type of patients and residents and also understand that this change is not only on the client but also effects the family members as well. My goal is to pay it forward for those who are in need.

I am very positive and happy at all times. I smile and laugh at lot and it is very uplifting to my patients. My mother passed away from cancer in 2002. I cared for her until she went to heaven. I enjoy being a shoulder and a ear to patients that's lonely. Love hearing their life stories. I'm very proud of myself because my patients remember me in a positive and respectful manner.
