It all stared when I was 13 years old my grandmother had dementia. I hope take care of her during this summer, and came back every weekend to be with her.. I love a challenge. I love people. I've been doing home health care on and off for the last 10 years.

Hi, My name is DeDe. I specialize in ALS clients. This experience led me to my true passion. Over the last 7 years I have worked with 10 different families who dealt with ALS. From stage 1-stage 4. Just because you are living with this crazy disease that doesn't mean you can't live a normal life. When I walk into a family's homes. I walk in with a positive attitude with a big smile on my face to ease the pain of all the troubles they are going through right now. I have worked in private homes, group homes, etc. My desire is for excellence, quality and most importantly "LIFE", and to provide individualized care to each of my clients with the utmost dignity and respect. I enjoy the opportunity to impact my clients' lives in a positive way. I appreciate the chance to get to know clients and their families and become an integral part of their lives. I started this professional career in 2009 after my dad had a stroke and of course I wanted to step in and take care of him. I realized after he passed away that this was my calling. I am caring, compassionate, confident and exude enthusiasm as well as personality plus!! I'm an excellent caregiver because I love what I do and I strive to always be the best in whatever I'm doing. My greatest personal achievement's have been raising 2 beautiful daughters as a single mom. The other would be going back to school and achieving my CNA & Phlebotomist license. I love being a voice for the elderly when they don't have one and love taking care of them as if they we're my own parents or grandparents. My personality traits I'm very understanding to a situation that is or has occurred, very patient and love to help others. As a Certified Nurse Aide of 30 plus years, I always give 101% of my service in caring for my clients. I am passionate of my work and love my job. As a young girl growing up I always felt strong about studying in the nursing field to advance in my career. I'm flexible, reliable, along with punctual. Nonetheless, I have capabilities to perform required duties such as walking, exercise, shopping, and transportation to health providers. Throughout my career choice as a caregiver, I have grown and become more compassionate and I love my profession.

Recovering from a 15 ft fall that I was told I would never be able to walk the same, do the job I did before nor the activities I onced loved, I loved myself back to health. Learning how to walk, use the restroom, run and go back to work has been one of the most personal achievement I have ever accomplished.
