I served 3 years in Patrol as a First Responder for all types of Medical Emergencies, Serious Automobile Accidents, Overdoses & All Criminal Activity. ***I received several commendations while in Patrol and was promoted to Detective after the first 3 years. I was assigned to the Crimes Against Children Division where I conducted dozens of complex investigations involving Child Abuse, Neglect and Crimes of Child Sexual Abuse. ***I also attended & graduated from Weber State University with a Bachelor's Degree Political Science and Social Sciences. ***I was the founding partner of Thurgood Development Company. We Developed & Built 8 major Senior Residential Projects in N. Utah from 1986-2017. I understand & appreciate the needs of seniors especially as it comes to living independently & as safely as possible. I know from direct experience that Seniors & the Disabled very much want to maintain their independence. ***I volunteered and trained 2 days per week for 7 years at Manor Care Nursing Home in S. Ogden, Utah. ***I retired from construction in 2017 but soon found myself wanting the work with Seniors again. I went to work for a Leading In-Home Senior Care firm in SLC. I underwent significant additional training and have several Utah State mandated Certifications in First Aid, Elder Care etc. ***After 4 months with the Leading In-Home Senior Care firm I was chosen as their CARE-GIVER OF THE YEAR. I am assigned as Exclusive Care Giver for 3 of their VIP's, whose names are household words in all of Utah. ***I have many references from persons who I have cared for and dozens from Seniors that I have built homes for over the past many years. I am 6'3"- 220 lbs and well trained in personal protection. My clients are safe when I am there with them.

I have been a cargiver for 2 almost 3 years now and love the job. I enjoy assisting people with personal care jobs. Keeping good company. Cooking, cleaning, running errands. Changing briefs, assisting showering and getting ready for the day. Transportation for activities and taking out to run errands. I started working with kids with disabilities during a summer camp in 2016 and fell in love with assisting and helping kids and adults. Then i moved to other companies and loved the job still. I want to keep working in this job and get more hours than i am right now which is about 10-25 hrs per week. I am in the process of getting my CNA (certified nursing assistant) certification

I i started that kind of job when my mom have strokes two time n it's really bad.n only me not work that time.i move take care my mom cleaning take her shower cook n cleaning take her outside feat her.turn her every time excercise her.change her diaper.for 5yrs then she pass away,then i take care my dad do the same thing to my dad for 3 years my dad pass away.for that moment i like to do the same thing to everyone they need help.everytime when you I m do the other people i click to my mine my parents n i need to do the same thing i feel that my mom n my dad i have more love respect n treat them good n make them happy.that y i like to do that kind of job the love that have.to my parents i need to share other people.

I am a mother of two beautiful girls. One who is going to the U of U for a bachelor's in psychology, and another who is a full time mom. I have a beautiful granddaughter that is almost two. I am a family oriented person who loves to do outdoor activities of any kind. I have a passion for caregiving and always have. My mother taught me at a young age about caregiving and would tell me stories that attracted me to it.

Hello my name is Mya! Hopefully we get a chance to meet but I'll tell you a little but about myself beforehand! I am a cerified nursing assistant and have been certified for two years now! My loving and understanding personality has made me the best caregiver I could be. I love my clients and if they have a smile at the end of our visit, I know I've done my best job. What I enjoy most in being a caregiver is getting to know my clients and building that connection so they are comfortable in their own home and they received the care they need.
