Hi my name is Brittney. I am 31 years young. I love helping people and seeing the smiles on the families faces. Not many people have the capacity to be a caregiver. I love it. I love seeing my patients get better and be their happy selves. I am so proud of myself for getting on at the hospital and helping Cancer and dimentia patients get the help they need.

My name is Toni I will just dive right in I had a son who battled cancer from the age of 12-18 he unfortunately lost his battle I struggled a great deal and still do but he also made me realize that taking care of people is what I want to do so that's when I became a caregiver and when I lived in Indiana I became a CNA doing this is not just a job for me it's a passion for me doing what I do is what I'm most proud of and I feel my son would be proud also.

I became a caregiver to help an elder parent, when she would need more help. It is a good feeling knowing what to do when she needs help. I do like helping people and I have a sunny positive outlook on life.

I enjoy caregiving because I like to help other people with any type of disability's. I enjoy being able to make my clients feel safe and happy. While I have typically worked in a dental clinical setting for most of those years I have always put my patient first and their specific needs as my priority. While in high school I did obtain my CNA license but went a different educational path from nursing to receiving my Dental Assisting certification. I hold a current CPR/AED for BLS Skills for a professional rescuer. Proficiency in medication management. As well as SPICE certified per OSHA guidelines. While I loved the field and found it rewarding I also found that a work/life balance was not able to be reached. My son, who is autistic, has been a big motivator in my switching of careers. He has taught me more patience and understanding of people with diverse needs. My name is RiKera Thornton I have been working in the healthcare field for over 12 years I started this journey in high school because I have always had a passion for taking care of others, it makes me feel good to offer care for those who may not be able to for themselves any longer or one's that just need that extra push to remind them that they can do it. Taking care of others brings me great joy and I've tried other career pathways but none have my heart as much as being a caregiver. I treat everyone as if they are family and how I would want my family members to be treated, this is just not a job for me it's my passion.

Hello my Name is Kristen, I'm a out going person and love to make that last difference in someone's life. I love to help others. I have always wanted to be a nurse even when I was a little girl. My heart went out to the elders. Over the years I have learned a lot of different things. The biggest thing I have learned was to listen to my patients whe they are talking. Some will share exactly what they are going though. Everytime I learn something from my patients I have heard many stories that has helped me to understand what someone else is going through. I love to do one on one care. For it helps me to really get to know the person I'm with and I can spot any changes in my patients that could either save a life or help a illness from progressing further such as UTIs I have been very pleased with the compassion and loving genital care that I can provide. I take pride in my work and making someone smile just warms my heart. I'm a firm believer that no matter what age you are or what your going through you deserve to live a safe and happy life for the last few years that someone has left on this earth.

I have been in this field off and on for 13 years. I love being able to help someone in the comfort of their own home.
