Hi! My name is Katherine, but you can call me Kat or Katie if you prefer! I've been doing caregiving/ hospice care for more than 5 years. I love being able to provide an atmosphere of hospitality and becoming close with the people I take care of. I started doing this profession when my sister was dying of cancer, I took care of her every day during her final days. What I loved about doing that, is feeling needed. She relied on me for everything, to be her comfort, to wash her hair, to make her laugh and smile. From sharing childhood memories and jokes, I knew this is what I wanted to do with my life after she passed and I did! I am so glad you have chosen me to care for yourself or a loved one. I promise to always make them feel special and meet every expectation they need.

The reason I love caregiving so much because I was inspired by grandparents before they passed and took care of them and realized they didn't get much company and I wanted to be soemoje they trusted and relied to be there for their needs and emotionally support

I'm very much a people person & highly empathetic. I knew I wanted to be a caretaker/Nurse since high school working as a volunteer in local hospital. I come from a family of caretakers so it's in my genetics. I've done many aspects of caregiving from rooming patients in local clinic to skilled unit in nursing facility & Alzheimer's unit. I love geriatric care due to the respect I have for the elderly. They've earned it for surviving through hardships I've only read about & learned in history class, which brings me to the fact that they have the best stories to tell if able to. I take pride in my care & the bigger the challenge it is with not so happy clients/patients I manage to get them to open up a bit & do my best to turn there frown upside down raising there spirits up. I welcome new challenges & learning about something new especially if it helps my care towards my patient. Dementia/Alzheimer's care is my specialty.

I have always had a passion for wanting to help people. I starting. Volunteering at a hospital when I was 16. I enjoy making others dreams and goals come true. I enjoy people. Caring for others brings me joy.

Natural, I show compassion and empathy. I am passionate, and see the good in people no matter the circumstances. Living with my Grandmother was won't of the most exciting time in my life. She was fun to be with, and we enjoyed each other company and she taught me life lessons that has been applied to my life today. Being a caregiver, the client can rest assured that they can be safe and comfortable in their home and they will be provided the care a dignity, compassion and respect they deserve.

I listen to their needs and talk to them I can hold a conversation to them as needed. I care about people. My personal achievements is gsving that connection with them that when I arrive on my shift they are happy to see me.

I am a mother of two boys. I'm engaged. I love animals I have many. This is my absolute favorite job ever.

I have been a caregiver for over 10 years . I am a trustworthy individual, kind hearted, and very patient. I have taken care of my mother, while on hospice, until her last breath.

Families in Minnesota, FYI, just a heads up about the new Home care laws: Think twice before hiring a caregiver without the supervision of a licensed agency in Minnesota. The State of Minnesota requires any unlicensed direct caregivers (including Certified Nursing Assistants) to have a license...please be sure to check that this is in place prior to hiring them.
