Hi, my name is Erin, and I was inspired to care for the elderly eleven years ago as I witnessed my great-grandmother age. She was an amazing woman and a great influence on my life. At 92 years of age, grandma started needing round the clock care. We tried several skilled nursing facilities and quickly noted that given their staff to patient ratios, Grandma was not getting the attention she needed. This lead our family to look into in-home care. I saw what how important a quality caregiver is to client's health. I knew I wanted to be the have the same positive impact on someone's life. Shortly after my grandmother passed, I embarked on my career working with the elderly. I provide services that allow seniors to stay in their homes. This includes but is not limited to bathing, dressing, medicine assistance, meal preparation, dementia care (Alzheimer, Parkinson's, Lewy Body, etc.), diabetes care, physical therapy, transportation to and from appointments, and Hospice care. I have reliable transportation, proof of insurance, and am licensed and insured. I have excellent references from local families. I decided to become a CNA/Home Health Aide after the passing of my Mother. My Mother and I lived together for 11 years. The last 4 years of her life she suffered from dementia. After caring for her, I realized that I had acquired considerable knowledge and experience in this area, that would be helpful to other families facing the same challenges. I began my career working for an agency in Santa Barbara; but after the fire and mudslides, I joined an agency in Camarillo. I have been with them for about 3 years. However, at this time I would like to work directly with clients and their families. I am very patient and understanding when helping seniors with their challenges.
