Being the oldest, and only girl of 4, I Inherited the role of caregiver at a very young age. I started as a babysitter and later in life gravitated towards adult care. I have remained a caregiver because I enjoy meeting people from different parts of the world and hearing their lives experiences, their knowledge, and the wisdom they often share. For me, there's no greater satisfaction than going home at the end of my workday knowing that my presence made a difference in someone else's day and that I am appreciated.

1. I became a caregiver through the inspiration of my late mother. She was in a vegetative state for almost 2 yrs. due to massive stroke. Reinvented myself from working in the corporate world (banking) to moving in the healthcare field. It's a different experience where one found joy and accomplishment working with the elderly. I am able to work with different types of patient. I have a 25 years of experience as a care giver. I worked at Stanford Hospital and Los Gatos community hospital as a Certified Nursing Assistant. I also worked at home care settings doing personal care, hospice care, and oncology. What makes me a great caregiver is because I am simply: Patient, compassionate, attentive, dependable, and trustworthy.
