I began my caregiving career as a skilled CNA in a nursing home at the Care Center in Oakdale. Once I perfected my skills and with the proper work-methods, I resumed my work ethics at Oak Valley Hospital in the Rehabilitation Center; and was promoted by The Director of Nursing to a RNA position ( Restorative Nursing Assistant) working directly with professionals such as PT, PTA, Speech Specialists, RNs and Doctors. It was my absolute pleasure to see my patients regain their health and return home to loved ones. With my acquired experience and knowledge, great compassion and kindness, I became an independent caregiver and have worked as a private caregiver for over 15 yrs. I love what I do. I have met many wonderful clients and family loved ones; and graciously, I have received many letters of recognition. Through my caregiving process, I have worked diligently along side Hospice, applying my nursing skills to bring comfort to dying patients. My goal is to bring a quality of life to my clients with much joy and with a compassion filled with gentle kindness. I have been involved in working in the healthcare field for over the past 20 years now. I really enjoy taking care of my clients. I show them a lot of empathy and compassion. I like to do what I can to make my clients feel special. I always go the extra mile to keep them happy. What attracted me most about being a good caregiver? I am 25 years old, I have been a caregiver for a span of 4 years so far! Everything about being a caregiver is so important to me, from the tidy housekeeping, to companionship and client support is all crucial to me. I have patience, and time management, I love to be friendly and carry a conversation, I feel that a client isn't just a "client" they are someones mom or dad, sister or brother, daughter or son, they have a life, a story behind the care they need, and as a caregiver I enjoy being the support that families can have not just for the individual needing care, but for the family to feel safe with me as their caregiver.

The reason I became a caregiver was because my grandmother died alone in a nursing home. I have also worked in facilities. I left due to the fact I didn't like the way the clients were treated I couldn't give them enough attention. The reason why I love working in homes with one or two clients at a time is because you get to know them you get to bond with them and they become like family. 80% of my clients I have stayed with till the end and that is because most of my clients are terminal.
