I love being a caregiver for many reasons it's a passion and an honor to be able to assist families with extra care for their loved ones I am a very hands-on caregiver. I love to help. I understand that every day is different and everyone is different and the care is never the same. I feel like in order to be a good caregiver you have to love what you do, even if the job is challenging, I enjoy assisting with meals showers and emotional support. I'm well rounded I have with nursing homes, assisted living, private duty, hospitals 1:1, mental health, special needs adults and children, autism, cerebral palsy individuals. When you as an individual in the health care field, you have to truly CARE, about the people you are responsible for at the time whom you are giving care to but that's in general in life, you have to LOVE people. And TRUE LOVE come from GOD... We have to place CHRIST first, in all we do, it will make you great at whatever level your expertise is, I will honestly tell you that is why I'm GOOD at what I do as a CAREGIVER.

I love to make people smile. Caregiving became my passion around the age of 12. My mother who is an RN, opened her first home care business. The rest was history as they say! Hearing the stories from the past, life lessons, experiences from people who were light years ahead of me. It's been a joy getting to know different cultures & views. My passion is helping those who can't help themselves. A majority of the people I take care of are veterans. I wouldn't have it any other way! Sacrificing for the people who have done for the same for us is nothing less than an honor. My proudest achievement would be that people remember me & ask for me even when my work with them is done. Even though I've been employee of the month multiple times. Nothing compares to hearing from your residents mouth that they appreciate you for all you do.

During all of these years I've personally provided & or supervised our wonderful senior community, both men and women with multiple types and disciplines in: "Hands on Home Care, Health & Companion Care, Respite Care and all forms and facets of Private Duty Nursing /Caregiving". Certified Medication Aide is also one of the multiple qualifications I hold, that allow me to assist you. Whilst I am within your home, I can safely administer any and all of your prescribed and or over the counter medications, be it daily or weekly, as prescribed. I've also played an active role in doing Physical Therapy / Occupational Therapy / Recreational Therapy and Speech Therapy Assistance. I can also provide Transportation for any of your Dr. Appointments, Errands and Social and Spiritual Activities, on an prn (as needed basis), whilst I am assisting you. I love to listen & learn from elderly people. They have so much wisdom & have lived interesting lives. I love to listen to their experiences. Once I had my back injury ( as an x-ray tech in 2010) I could no longer work 10-12 hr. shifts so I looked for a second career. A friend was doing Home Health Care for a Ms. Helen over the Christmas season & needed time off to be with her family. I was to fill in for 10 days but ended up staying for 4 years until I moved to Florida. I love working 1 on 1 with a person & their family. It is a joy to see them make little improvements along the way or just a big smile or thank you for making their favorite food or meal. My personal achievement is knowing I give 100% to my client & treat them like a family member. My clients have been both females & males. I treat them the same as I would treat my Mom or Dad. I have taken additional classes & have experience with Dementia, Alzheimer & Parkinson clients. Each person is unique in their own way, a real person with feelings & emotions.
