After a massive Corporate downsizing, I have changed careers and turned to the Healthcare field. I have over 30 years experience taking care of family and clients, ranging from neonatal, special needs including quadriplegia, to hospice care. The last 20 years have also included dementia/stroke, oxygen, TPN, feeding tubes and post operative care. In addition, I have also been asked by 2 clients to become their personal assistant. This included travel to the grocery store, doctor appointments, downsizing homes, moving packing and unpacking, traveling across country and also property managed my clients home while it was on the market to sell. I believe that I would be a great caregiver because I am passionate. I believe in finishing all tasks to the fullest and in the best form possible. I am also organized which means that I can keep track of any senior's information, medications and preferences. I also encompass empathy which I think is a really important trait to have when taking care of others. It helps you have a better understanding of their situation and how to react in a good manner. I am interested in becoming a caregiver because it is a very rewarding experience. I always find myself empathizing with senior citizens and helping them out when I can. My eldest and youngest daughters are a dentist and a visual rehabilitation counselor respectively. My son is a computer science major. All my children are dedicated to helping others and leaving an impact in the life of others.
