I knew I wanted to be a caregiver since childhood. My biggest accomplishment would be graduating from the nursing program while working full time with very young children.

I have many years experience with caregiving and have been in the health field since 1984. Always attending to those special needs of the client, with the upmost respect. Doing any tasks at hand, according to the care plan. To make sure, they know they can trust me and I am there for them. I helped taking care of my heavenly Stepdad and it made my heart whole. I would take care of others, just like they was family. I am very tentative and compassionate and want them to trust me. I love helping out others, in time of need. Is a position where it requires many hats and I have worn many. I have been there for many, until the end. To do my job that best that I can, to show them I care and see a smile, would complete my day.

I cared for a family who lived by me; they had 5 children, and when I began, they were all 5 years or younger. I built wonderful relationships with all of them and still keep in touch today: however, the mother is a teacher and does not require a summer babysitter. I also nannied all summer for two beautiful 7-year-old twin girls Monday through Friday. I'm a CNA and have been for a year. I love helping people and I am good at adapting to each persons needs. Also, I am not one to be conceited, but I am confident that I am very good at what I do.

I am a phenomenal care giver, because I am a kind, understanding, and sympathetic person. I always put others needs over mine and I love helping people in need. I am reliable, and have a reliable vehicle for transportation. I am flexible when needed. I enjoy the feeling of being helpful and knowing I can make a person'a day easier, or even something as small as having conversations with a person to make their day better. I enjoy seeing a person's face or mood lighten up after I help them fulfill their daily needs. My greatest personal achievement is helping somebody through their worst time in life, causing them to smile and enjoy the time they have while doing activities or even just having a conversation.

I'm a great caregiver because I'm patient, attentive, kind, outgoing, friendly, motivated and dedicated to the family I work for. I started caregiving with my grandma when she got dementia. I was very close with her and I saw how the nursing homes were treating her so I decided to love her into my home and care for her there! I'm a nurturer by heart, so caring for others loved ones comes easy. I love spending time with the people I care for and hearing their life stories and what they accomplished in life, I'm a great listener and can hold great conversation.

I am very compassionate about seniors and love helping them so they can stay in their homes longer. I am very patient and have nine years of experience in this field. I started out working as a Caregiver because I've always been a Caregiver in some way or another and quickly realized how much I enjoy working with seniors and how patient I am with them. I know that some days I will be the only face they see so I want to make them smile and make it count. The thing I most enjoy is seeing how happy I make them and knowing not only that they need help but that I am the one who is able to help them. I find this job very rewarding in that aspect. I have had so many clients tell me how it takes a special person to do this job, that I'm definitely one of those people and to never give it up because a lot of people need me. Just hearing those words make me realize I'm doing the right thing and that makes me proud.

I believe I am a great caregiver because I have patience, I am kind, and I show compassion. What originally attracted me to caregiving is when my grandfather got sick, my parents and I took care of him, we set up a hospital bed and we did everything possible for him to be safe, happy, comfortable, and at home. From that period in my life forward I knew this is meant for me. My paternal grandmother is also very sick, she has Alzheimer's disease, which is a very progressive and terrible disease, I know first hand what it's like to be a family member suffering with this person as they loose all recollection of memories. That's why when I got my first I specifically asked to be put on a memory care unit, and I thrive with them. I understand dementia, what it does, the different stages. I seen what it looks like when someone declines, I know the signs and symptoms. I love caring for these people, because I know i make a difference everyday, every smile is a difference. I love helping them everyday, I love making sure they are safely in bed cleaned and changed at night, I strive for it.
