I am 57 years old mature, responsible and experienced caregiver from Bloomington.my background is in Elementary Education but in the last 10 years or more, I have worked as a Home Health aide in senior facilities and residential. My services can provide companionship, light house cleaning, meal prep, shopping, strands, take to appt. Personal care, and pet care if needed. My goal is to provide services to help a client live more independently in their own home environment and give the families peace and assurance that their loved one is in great hands. I grew up taking care of my mother, and since then I knew that giving care to others would be fulfilling. I enjoy getting to know patients and connect with them and a great supporter.

I started working with patients in 2015 and completely fell in love with taking care of others. I have never worked a job where healthcare wasn't involved. I genuinely enjoy helping other live their best life. I love working with people from infancy to elderly and everything in between. I am compassionate and treat others the way I would want a caregiver to treat my family member.

I am well experienced. I became a caregiver, more than twenty years ago, to give quality care to those in need. I enjoy meeting new people and listening to their stories. I have had Certified Nursing Assistant training, Direct Support Professional training, Qualified Medication Aide training, and am well read with experience as Physical Therapy Aide. As a caregiver, it is nice to have both a decent medical vocabulary and an interest in continuous learning about the functions of the human body.

I have experience working as a CNA/HHA for the last 13 years. I consider myself reliable, helpful, caring, and passionate. I also have some college credits for general studies towards my RN degree. I am outgoing, and like to make people feel comfortable in what could be uncomfortable situations. I can improvise, adapt, overcome, and react quickly and appropriately in emergency situations. I was meant to be in this line of work. I can't say I chose it. I believe it's part of a plan. That's why I enjoy it, and have done well. One of the things I enjoy the most about this work is showing clients, through my actions, that they deserve great care, and that they aren't a "bother" and that there are people who like to see others happy and healthy.

What makes me a great care giver is I enjoy my work. I enjoy this field of work because when I was younger my grandfather had dementia and watching my mom care for him made me want to do the same thing.What i enjoy most about my job is being able to really make a difference in people's life's.A personal achievement I am proud of is my 8yr old daughter
