I love to help people and feel strongly that we should take care of others that can't do as much for themselves. I entered the direct care field after helping my grandmother through cancer, and finding how much I loved to care for her in her time of need.

I have been in this field for many years, I am extremely patient, emphatic, compassionate and caring. I am very flexible, and have great time management and communication skills. I like to believe things come full circle, treat and care for one as you may need this assistance at some point in your life I have many years experience with a multitude of Health issues, I have worked very closely with Hospice and VNA Nurses , cared for Parkinson, Dementia, Supra Nucleous Palsy as well as other Related care as well.. I am a very easy going and attentive person. I have been in the human services field since 2012 in some capacity. I have hold a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from an accelerated program at Curry College. I am also enrolled in Laboure College slowly pursuing a nursing degree. I have experience with elders, mental health, and different varying disabilities. I have experience with hospice/end of life, working with different State agencies such as DDS, DMH, MassHealth, and Elder Affairs. I have been caring for my father the last almost 6 years. He's had multiple cancers, gait issues, COPD, falls/fainting, eating/feeding tube, and is now losing his sight just to list a few of many ailments. I am CPR/First Aid/AED certified and have used these skills in real life moments, as well as being MAP certified for many years now. I've spent my life helping others because I truly feel it's not only the right thing to do but also that it's a calling for me. It makes my heart happy!

I also am going to school to become a nurse and have worked in a hospital setting as well as the home setting I have experience with people with respiratory disorders as well. I then enrolled in a nursing program right out of high-school! I did 5 classes and am certified in all. I'm CPR/BLS certificated. I'm my senior year of highschool I did an intern ship as a preschool teacher and gained a certification in early childhood development as well.

I have been a caregiver for over 30 years. I began as a teenager in nursing homes but found in home care when I was a personal trainer. I was training a client in her home and it was then that I decided I wanted to spend more time helping the elderly remain in their homes. I am very easy going but I'm a a great worker. I do my best to help each individual maintain their dignity and respect while maintaining as much independence as possible. I enjoy the fact that people are comfortable with me at a time when someone must come into their environment which has been sacred to them for so long. It's not easy but I think I make it a bit easier.

I genuinely love taking care of people. Meeting needs of others fills my needs. It makes me happy to feel I have did a good job caring for someone.
