I have worked with doctors and agencies to get care that is needed. My patients become family and I take care of them as such. I have worked with loved ones that have Alzheimer's, Dementia, ALS, and everything in between. I am very good at my job and I do very much take a lot of stress off the family members. I I am very good at my job and care deeply for the people I take care and treat them as I would my own. I have always made sure I am worth what I make. I took care of my sick mother until she passed away. Later, a friend introduced me to the field of caregiving. Though I had formerly been a school teacher, caregiving fit like a glove. A client once asked me why I chose this profession, and I told her that I wanted to make a difference in people's lives. I offer personal care, housekeeping services, and companionship. When my client was dying, I held her hand the entire time, not knowing that the daughter had entered the room and observed my action. After her death I received a note from the daughter describing how she had been touched by my action. As a former teacher, I am punctual, compassionate, empathetic, and sentimental; I laugh and cry with my clients. My current job involves caring for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in their homes. I have recently been providing a client with personal hygiene in the morning through CareLinx.

I am a loving and caring person and I love helping others. I love my job and what it allows me to do for others. I have been on the receiving end of having a loved one get very sick and bounce back and forth from nursing home to hospital so I know all too well not just the physical but the emotional strain that situations like these can have for people and family's. This is why I try my best to help the best I can in any situation. I choose to get into this line of work because unfortunately I had to see first hand with a loved one that not everyone is properly taken care of or even cared about in these situations and that is just awful and unfair. When my loved one passed away I vowed to make a difference, even if its just one person or a small few its better then none or just doing nothing.

One of my personality traits is when someone has compassion for another they have an understanding of what the person is going through. Some other personality traits that help me be a great caregiver are Trustworthiness, patience, and dependability. I love helping people. I've always had a soft spot for seniors and wanted to make a difference in their lives. I like making someone smile and doing little things to make a person's day better. I take pride in my attention to detail. One of my greatest achievements is doing a 15 week nursing contract away from my family a lot.

I took care of her when she was diagnosed of stage 4 pancreatic cancer and helped her with her daily activities until she passed away.
