I have always loved helping and taking care of people as a child. I realized it was a talent I had when I grew up and I have loved it ! I became a caregiver because I feel like everyone deserves to be happy. A personal achievement I accomplished was to actually be able to tell my own mother no she can't smoke as I care for her cause she had 2 strokes and not feel bad about it because I know it's not good for her health. I enjoy working with people. I treat people with the respect and love they deserve. For my graduate degree I majored in Social Work and Gerontology because I wanted to learn how to serve people better.. In order to paid for my education I worked as a care giver. I loved caring for people and learned so much from the monthly training conducted by professionals in the health care field. When I did my first internships at a center for seniors. I had such a great time working with members of the elderly population that I decided to continue working in that area. I mostly enjoy caring for others, giving back to those who served others in many ways during their younger years or when they were physically capable to do so. Its my way of giving back to the community. I get a great sense of satisfaction when I help someone recover, achieve the best in live possible with the physical and/or mental limitations they gave. And from hearing how thankful the patients and relatives are for the level of service I have provided.

I am fully vaccinated, and have my booster. I haven't been able to submit an image of my vaccination card to the site, but if you are interested in hiring me, I can send the image through communications (texts, email, etc.). I like to make my patients laugh, regardless of what the task is, whether I am helping them clean up an accident, or helping them get dressed, it can be a fun experience for both of us. I have received personal letters saying thank you for being so kind and patiently caring, from families and patients themselves. I am skilled at what I do. I do things thoroughly. I am stronger than I look, I can easily transfer people larger and taller than me. I know when to lower someone to the ground during transfers to prevent them from falling and hurting themselves. I know how to determine normal vital signs, and blood sugar levels. I have worked in nursing facilities, and respond well in emergency situations. I do have a cat allergy.

I am dependable, optimistic and like helping people. I am a Massage Therapist and have always been drawn to helping people heal with touch therapy. The 20 years I have been a massage therapist I have been able to help people with so many ailments and keep them from having to have surgery or stay on pain medication. I was asked by a friend in the last year to help her when she found out she had Brain Cancer. I didn't expect that I would learn so much and feel like I had a purpose like I did. The journey that we took for the last 6 months was very special and I am proud that I had the chance to be there every step of the way right next to her and make a difference. In addition to being a very empathetic person, I'm also very patient with the people in my life. I understand that the people I provide care for are on a difficult and at times, emotionally stressful journey. I pride myself in keeping to a consistent work schedule because I understand that my clients depend on me for assistance. I'm also adaptable to client emergencies or changes to schedules. Answer to the question, what am I most proud of??? I have to say its my boys.. I got to bring up two amazing fabulous sons to being productive independent men, while working as a single mom. They make me proud.
