Becoming a Caregiver was out of necessity, to fulfill one woman's simple request of not being placed into a nursing home. She had had a challenging childhood: daily nourishment often was tea and bread; coats were used as blankets during the evening. She persevered during her marriage, raising a brood of children while being the dutiful wife. So, when called upon, it was an opportunity to give back.
