The first thing about being a great caregiver is to listen to your client and to be patient at the same time your patience will always be comfortable talking to you I became a caregiver for my grandmother that open the door for taking care of others one of the things that I enjoy most about being a caregiver is how exciting your client feels when you come to see them it's almost like two friends having tea and challah bread one of the things that I achieve in the work that I do is how I'm able to communicate with my clients even if it is a hospice care I take great pride in what I do and I always remember getting sick and aging can happen to anyone you're not above it so you treat people with respect and hope for the same when it is your turn.

I BECAME A CAREGIVER BECAUSE I HAVE SEEN THE NEED AND THE WORRIES OF THE FAMILY THAT HAVE TO LEAVE THEIR LOVED ONES ALONE TO GO TO WORK WORRIED ABOUT THEM. I became a caregiver because its a rewarding job and I enjoy helping others. Being a caregiver you learn from each patient and you can take that knowledge on to the next. I am personally proud helping a patient who was under weighed gain 25 lbs and he stop being afraid of the outdoors. The degree of satisfaction derived from my interventions is a unique feeling, to experience. Both uplifting...but also humbling. Perhaps, being the parent of the most beautiful precious, most special special child. It's ingrained within me, the dire need to be a voice, for the vulnerable. Seeing a task completed, with great results, makes it all worthwhile. The greatest sense of gratitude, has been, for me, times when the client required careful, almost mechanical transferring. After she was safely delivered...that glorious sigh of relief, and the look of relaxed expression, of the client.
