I was raised by my grandparents all the way up till high school. While living with them they instilled countless of values and morales. Which is why upon graduating with my B.S. from Houston Christian Univeristy, I returned home to look after them. Through them and my professional experience i've learned tremendous patience and how to properly address and handle any situation a care giver may experience. I was officially hired as my grandfathers provider through the VA when he reached 100% disability until his passing at 102. I have since worked for two other home care agencies, and have over 2 years of experience professionally. I am also sponsored by Project Arriba, while I complete a 2-year Echocardiography program at EPCC. I can say with confidence I am able to effectively and superbly perform any task as a caregiver and provide exceptional customer service.

I became a caregiver/CNA because I get great joy helping people. I have always as a child, helped people. Even if i couldn't do much I would try my hardest to do all that I could. Becoming a CNA was the best thing and the most accomplished move that I've done in my life. I have 20 years experience as a CNA and I am very observant with my patients and detect when there is a change in their behavior or health. What attracted me as a caregiver is taking care of my grandpa. He got really sick and had no one else care for him. So I stepped out and cared for him. So me helping him every day with his ADL's gave me the courage to help not just my grandpa but others as well. The most thing I enjoy as a caregiver is making my patient laugh or smile before I end my shift. That's the most I enjoy as a caregiver.
