What makes me a great caregiver is my heart. I have always cared about the well being of others, it makes me happy knowing that I am able to help people. What I like about caregiving is meeting new people, and being able to do all I can to comfort and help. A personal achievement I am really proud of is working with someone with CP. This person was in a wheel chair for a long number of years, this person gave up long ago. I came in and got to help this person and care for them helped with motaviating this person to start exercising and then we started taking small steps, thru out my years of caregiving with this person. I was able to help get this person out of the chair and to start walking again. It made me feel so good to see smiles from my client and the family because of how I dedicated myself to her, I was able to give hope and was able to see my client do somethings on their own. It is definitely a highlight to caregiving.

I am a very passionate about caring for others. I am an empathetic, caring person by nature. I am trustworthy and dependable. I have a vast amount of experience due to the fact I am a former nurse. I love getting to know people and am very good at helping patients formulate a routine that is both realistic and ideal for their circumstances. A plan that takes into account the family dynamics and is mutually beneficial hopefully.

I take pride in helping others. I like to serve and help others. I became a caregiver to take care of my daughter who has cerebral palsy. And found that there are many families that need help just like I did .

I am a very caring person. I have always wanted to peruse a career that involves helping others! I grew up with a brother that has Down Syndrome so I was raised learning patience, understanding, and love. He is the main reason I have always wanted to be a care giver and why I have always loved it. Caregiving isn't just a "job" to me, helping others is my passion.

Caregiving is what I like to do. I like to help others, I like to see them smile and feel that they are really cared about. Love working with the elderly, love sitting and talking with them and hearing all their memories. And doing things with them that they like to do. I am a caregiver with a heart and this is my passion to care for them and. See them smile .ive done other jobs but I keep coming. Back to go the care giving. I believe this is what god meant for me to do. I have been doing caregiving for almost 32 yrs and I still love doing it!!!!

I have time and patience for each one of my clients. I strive to make each one top priority when I am with them. My mom and grandmother are nurses and I use to go to work with them. Seeing there patience face light up when they got to work was great. Then watch how they took care of each one. It inspired me to make a difference. I love meeting new people. Traveling to different places. Meeting the families. I am a people person. My greatest achievement is finishing college while raising a family and working.

I'm a hard worker, compassionate, take initiative and go beyond to get the job done, great communication skills, flexible, honest and a pleasant personality. Always aware of the physical and emotional needs of this in my care. What attracted me to being a caregiver, when my grandma passed away, I knew that my grandfather was lonely and needed some assistance in his care. I started reading his mail to him, taking him around to his appointments, shopping, cleaning his home and just keeping him company and I knew from there that I wanted to help anyone in need. A neighbor had Cerebral Palsy and she was getting worse. She needed help with transportation to her appointments and shopping, cleaning her apartment. Being a great companion, caring, communicating with elderly when necessary and having a lot of patience.
