My name is Barbara Alt I'm 53 yrs old I'm a CNA with over 30 years experience I love to care for the elderly I'm verse in many different areas I'm very out going I like to cook clean or just be a companion what ever your love one needs I will do.

I have been an emergency technician for the past 26 years. I took care of a vast array of patients including many who were in critical condition. I recently left the ER to be the caretaker for a husband and wife. I am responsible for bathing, cooking, grocery shopping, medication distribution, and household cleaning. Its a joy being able to help keep them out of a nursing home. The wife has end stage COPD and the husband has Parkinsons. I am especially proud that because of my efforts they are still living at home. The relationship I have built with them has been well worth it too. The husband has even given me the nickname Christmas because he looks forward to seeing me every morning.

I am a honest and caring person who enjoys caring for people who need my help. I started working in this profession when my dad suddenly became Ill with cancer. I knew then I wanted to help people .

I have been a caregiver and a CNA for 27 years. I enjoy taking care of elderly people,I love to hear their stories when they were young .I think being a caregiver is a gift you have to have patience and compassion to help people and I find it very rewarding to help people and to see a smile on someone's face that you help.

I always wanted to get into nursing, however, I had to wait until my daughters both graduated from high school. Once my youngest got into college I was able to go to nursing school. I have worked with geriatrics as well as with prisoners and addiction. I have enjoyed all aspects of my nursing career thus far and I am looking forward to working with CareLinx.

My mom was sickly when I was growing up so I always helped her and knew that I had a passion for it! I love being able to help others and make sure they get the best possible experience! What do you enjoy most about being a caregiver? The ability to help others and provide them the assistance and care they need! What is a personal achievement you are proud of? Continuing my education.

I believe I am a great caregiver because, I am able to take on most jobs regardless of the severity. I am able to prioritize and multi-task. I have experience with all stages of Alzheimer's and Dementia. As well as, hospice. Am also a very personal, friendly, outgoing, and most importantly reliable individual.

I have always had a nack for wanting take care of people my family always told me I was a old kind hearted soul. I am willing to help anyone I can young or old. I'm passionate at what I do I look at it as no one wants to be sick mentally or physically. I am lucky enough to be healthy so why not help others who need help helping there selves. If it wasn't for the people I have crossed paths with that I had the opportunity to take care I would have not wanted to go on to be a nurse. I know I'm doing something right when the people I have taken care of tell me I'm so glad I have you or are you going to be my aide tomorrow? I love you. Don't leave. An it breaks my heart. A. If reason why I want one on one Care cause in these nursing facilities I don't get a chance to be with the people as much as I'd like to really get that care they need. I want to be able to feel good about what I do an not guilty because I had 15 people An could only do so much by myself . This is why I am hear on earth to Be a care taker I wouldn't have it any other way
