I've enjoyed being a caregiver for over 15 years now. I started in a nursing home, and then, after my father became ill, I took over all of his care. I have been doing private in home care ever since. It gives me much joy to be able to help others .... whether it be as a caregiver, friend, or great listener to loved ones and their families. In the last 5 years, I've been involved with private in home hospice care.

I love it when they talk about growing up, meeting their spouses,maybe went off to war and of course their grandchildren and great grandchildren. I enjoy making a difference in their lives. Raising my children is what im most proud of.

Hello! My name is Heather Dunmire, I have been in the medical field for 8 years now. My first job out of high school was a nurses aide position. I went on to further my education and obtain my CNA license in January 2017. I have a strong passion for wanting to help others and wanting to see them succeed. I have worked in a childcare facility as a shift supervisor before but I always find my way back to my elderly folk, that is where I feel my heart is at and where I feel I do my best work. I love hearing their stories from all throughout their lives, and I absolutely love to see the smiles on their faces. I like to really take the time to find out what their dislikes and likes are, get to know their routine of things, and try to connect with them in a way to make them feel safe and secure. I am cpr, first aid, aed, and Heimlich trained. I am also diabetic trained and medication trained, and insulin trained and I have a customer service certification. I became a caregiver because I love to take care of other people. The best feeling in the world is knowing that you made a difference in someone's life. I enjoy a smile on someone face knowing that I was able to make their day even 1% better.

I am a very compassionate and caring person. I enjoy helping others and like to make other levels feel better. I enjoy the companionship of others and helping others with tasks they may not be able to do on their own. I have worked in several aspects of the medical field and one on one patient care is very fulfilling.
