I had been a family caregiver to two members previously and all together, I have 10 years experience. Ive been told I have a servants heart and find I am happiest when making others satisfied. What attracted me to becoming a caregiver? I have always liked being around the elderly. I volunteered for meals on wheels for four years. And in those four years. I got a one on one experience of the needs of the elderly. I get to help the elderly keep their dignity and there Independence . And stay in their own home where they feel safe.

Communication is key, along with encouragement, patience, and creative problem-solving skills. Growing up as a child, I helped my grandmother with her medical needs and that is what inspired me to get in the medical field. Caring for other people makes me feel valued. I have wonderful relationships with my clients. While I am doing their ironing or washing the floor, we're laughing and chatting. They enjoy telling me their stories, sometimes from years ago and I get pleasure from listening to them. I am a wife, mother of 2 amazing boys, and a nurse. I now stay home with my youngest son because my oldest son is away at college and my husband works crazy hours. I absolutely love taking care of people. It is my passion and what God put me on this earth for. I have great compassion for others in some of the most vulnerable times of their lives when sometimes other family members cannot due to their own family and lives.
