I graduated college in 2013. I have been in healthcare for over 20 years what got me started in 1992 when my son was born with a disability. I knew a little while after he was born that i had a love for caring for people. After being a home health aid for a year i knew i wanted to expand my horizon's so i did. I became a certified nursing assistant working with the elderly in 2007. I love what i do have accomplished everything i needed to as far as my career is concerned but the love i have for doing what i do will go on. For ever

I really enjoy being a caregiver, I currently work with developmental and disability behavioral patients. What I enjoy most about what I do is that I learn a lot from my patients everyday . Even though I'm working to help them achieve their daily living needs, health and activities. They teach me to be a better person, develop patience, knowledge and a sense of purpose. Knowing that I can help make a difference in someone's life is very rewarding . I'm a strong believer, that it takes a village and you can learn a lot from anyone.

I have worked in mental Health over 15 years. I have a BS in Community Mental Health and two years ago I semi retired. I have worked as a caregiver part-time for over 15 years, private and with agencies. I am SC state certified. I enjoy helping people, good at following orders, and needed task. Nothing more rewarding emotionally than seeing a smile on the client's and the families face! I've been a caregiver for over 20yrs and it started with my Mom as a CNA when I was a child and she got me into a Red Cross program that allowed me to help with the Elderly in the nursing home she worked in. I began to work as a caregiver at age 19yrs old until now age 41yrs old.

I am loving, caring, respectful, loyal, honest, devoted, and hard-working. I have been working in healthcare since 2000. I love helping and caring for people no matter what their situation or illness may be. Caring for my brother growing up that suffer from a mental illness and disability since birth gave me the desire and strength to help those who can't really help themselves. I learned my true strength after caring for my grandmother as her granddaughter and caregiver.
