I'm a seasoned former CNA, returning to the medical workforce after 10 years. I have a lot of patience and a sense of humor. CPR certified, and I'm calm in emergency sistuations. I'm proud that I served in the military, Former EMT-B, ready to help families thru this pandemic. I COVID Test before I travel out of state.

I have been in the health field for over 13+ years, I've worked at a nursing home throughout college. Went to LPN school (still have to sit boards) My most recent employer was a 74 year young lady with Parkinson's. I worked with her for 10 years. I was what she called her "Girl Friday" I did everything from medication reminders and dispensing, to hiring aides, payroll, care for her cats, ran errands, shopped for her, brought her to all appointments, Cooked for her, house cleaning, bathing, dressing, toileting and companionship ( we were incredibly close) I am a very dependable and reliable caregiver. I am kind, caring and considerate. I love taking care of the elderly. I can truly say I am good at what I do, and take enormous pride in my care.

I have military training and now in the army reserves. Have my clearances and a clean background and a year experience with caregiving. What i enjoy most about caregiving is beging able to help the people who wouldn't otherwise have it and give them a quality of life. I have been a care giver sense s I was 17 yrs. old I always like taking care of people and making their life a Happy one . I have had a lot of experience in taking care of all type of people from handicap to people with feeding tubes, Alzheimer's, Blind, ect I feel there is no better job in the world than one that you can give another person a great quality of life this is very rewarding to me .I have been chosen to take care of very professionl people like judges, Doctors ect. Ive worked in restaurants, warehouses as a receptionist, dog sitter, sign holding to pharmacist technician. I've also had the experience in working with the elderly as a personal care aid in which I'm certified in. I'm a single parent with two children that are on the Spectrum. Being a caregiver is the most self-rewarding goal in my life. And my whole life I always gravitated towards people in need with assistance. I am out going in nature and love camping.

What makes me a great caregiver? Excellent question. I am very very respectful, even if an elderly person is becoming frail and/or senile, it's important to remember that they are a person with a lot of experience, and a person who was once able to stand on their own two feet. I am also very empathetic; Ageing can be a confusing and difficult process for some older people, as tasks they used to find simple become a challenge that needs to be overcome. I am also very very reliable. What attracted me to being a caregiver? I enjoy working with people and most enjoy jobs where you have one-on-one interaction with others. I enjoyed taking care of elder family members and would like to help others in this way. I like older adults and feel you can get along well with a variety of elders. I doing work that has the potential to make a difference in someone's life. I like doing a variety of tasks in a day. I don't ever say, "that's not my job" but instead like pitching in to do whatever is needed. I like making someone smile and doing little things to make a person's day better. I take pride in your attention to detail. I don't want a desk job; you like being physical in your job and using your body as well as your brain. I am seeking a career with growing opportunities. I don't want to invest in many years of formal education but you are willing to learn new skills and take continuing education to do your job well. I feel that when you are older, I'd want someone like myself there to help me if I need help. What do I enjoy most about being a caregiver? I think just meeting peoples' needs. Sometimes it's not a glamorous job but you leave and the people feel like they have been treated with dignity. Their needs are met, they're comfortable or as comfortable as you can help them become. It's a very important thing for me. Not that it has to be glamorous, but just their smiles. It's just a very rewarding thing.
