Hello there, I'm Bridget and I have been a PCA since 2013. I have experience working with those who have Alzheimer's, Dementia and TBI's. I started out in this field just looking for a change in my career. I never thought I would get as much joy and satisfaction as I do helping those who can not help themselves. The best part of being in this field has got to be the bond and trust that grows not only between the client and myself, but the family as well. Getting to see your client make progress in things you've watched them struggle with. Or the smile that comes across their face when they're telling you stories of things they've experienced.

I have been in the health field for over 13+ years, I've worked at a nursing home throughout college. Went to LPN school (still have to sit boards) My most recent employer was a 74 year young lady with Parkinson's. I worked with her for 10 years. I was what she called her "Girl Friday" I did everything from medication reminders and dispensing, to hiring aides, payroll, care for her cats, ran errands, shopped for her, brought her to all appointments, Cooked for her, house cleaning, bathing, dressing, toileting and companionship ( we were incredibly close) I am a very dependable and reliable caregiver. I am kind, caring and considerate. I love taking care of the elderly. I can truly say I am good at what I do, and take enormous pride in my care.

what makes me a great caregiver is the fact that I put my whole heart and soul into what I do. I treat my patients like family, not like a job. I first started caregiving at the age of 16. My mother was a caregiver and I helped her. I knew then that this is what I wanted to do. I love being a caregiver because if I can give my best for them and care is always from my heart.
