I have elderly in-laws that I have been taking care of for the last 10 years. Either one of them have diabetes, high blood pressure, cardiovascular problems, (both have had valve replacements, stents, caths, etc. ) shingles, addiction to pain medicine, and so on. My children and I clean their house on a weekly basis. It helps me know that I am giving them care that they are comfortable. They are eating to their dietary needs. When they are in the hospital, I am the one who stays with them and keeps in contact with the family. I enjoy getting to spend time with them. I am proud of the job I do. There are certain things such as giving them showers that they will let me do that they won't let anyone else do. That makes me happy that they trust me to do something that will make them feel better. If I work for your family, I will treat them as my own.
