I have been a caregiver for 15+ years presently and I am very proud of my work that I do, as well as making a difference in the lives and comfort of my clients both past and present. I'm currently 24. I graduated 2017 from a music/business college in Pasadena ca. I have my Associates degree now. I'm currently have a cleaning business and I also am a caretaker for children including my twin sisters whom have autism. I love helping people and serving my community, especially people who are elderly, less fortunate, or disabled, that's definitely one of my passions! My mom has an agency for adults who are disabled and she has been doing this since before I was born. I learned from a very young age how to take care of people who are mentally or physically I'll, or disabled by certain experiences I've had with her clients. I also helped take care of my grandma years ago up until she passed from cancer. Shortly after when my grandpa was sick I took care of him up until I left for college. When I graduated college he got sicker, So I back in Oakland take care of him and unfortunately he is niw deceased. I also took care of my mom while she was battling cancer and she passed a few years ago, she was my grandpa's original caretaker but I took over after she passed. One of the best achievements I'm proud of is saving my grandpas life by changing his diet and staying on top of his meds, he almost passed in December of 2017, he did a whole he did a whole 180. The doctors gave him a certain amount of time to live but he did surpass it. He wasn't walking or talking, and being tube fed. His conditions were diabetes and congestive heart failure, but my sister and I did research on his condition, hired him changed his got him in physical, and speech therapy. He eventually was able to stop the tube feedings and eat regular food. Since I know a lot about health and certain health conditions that others might not know about I like to share my knowledge and help save lives the best I can. Some of my dreams are to own multiple businesses serving the community and to be a singer.

Why a caregiver it has always been in the family the nourishment and ability to help each other. I enjoy how my clients share their life history it means we have bonded in a personal way he or she is willing to give information that is usually meant for their family. I been caregiver since 2011 till I got the certificate as a Certified nursing assistant to medical assistant now on going to vocational nursing assistant. It's my passion to take care elderly because I feel it they are my family as my grandmother. I'm already 6 years working at skilled nursing at Oakland , I am working at general hospital at psychiatric emergency, it's nice to have a experience to work in that place because you'll see the what going on in that environment. I have a background about medication bcoz I just graduate as a nurse. And doing a nclex review for a while

I'm a mother of 5 and grandmother to 10. I've worked as a caregiver for the last 15+ years and counting. I love my clients and working with the elderly. What started out as a job became second nature and probably alot of that has to do with my cultural background. I loved it so much, I paid for my own training and certifications to be an independent caregiver. I got bonded, insured and registered with the state and I have several great references from the loving families of those whom I have cared for over the years. I've had great experiences with those who I have worked for and with, along with learning from wonderful nurses and doctors that I've interacted with during the care of many of my clients. I am very proud of the achievements I've made in taking the initiative to learn as I go with each client, and each client came with various conditions and ailments, and some with multiple conditions. It has been a great journey of growth and connection for me like no other and I find it so fulfilling to be able to help our elderly population in need. They have been all like family.
