I've been in the service for 27 years now. I have a child with disability, and I learned a lot from him in regard to assisting and helping him. That motivates me helping the elderly people. I also like gardening and outdoor recreations.

I have experience working in assisting living environments. I also been working in in- home care settings. I worked +2 years in working with disabled adults. Skilled in assisting patients with daily activities. What attracted me to becoming a caregiver was when I would see my mom caring for her dad and she would have a hard time and she didn't know how to find help and I would try helping her even if it was helping to set up clothes for the day or helpings in making a meal. So now that I'm getting older I want to be prepared to one day be able to personally care for my parents. I'm looking to leverage my passion & commitment to clients well- being to improve their quality of life. I always care for a client the same way I would care for a family member I have compassion, empathy and understanding that they still want to be independent and assist when needed. Helping others and bringing joy to their lives is a accomplishment anyone can feel proud of.

The main reason I became a caregiver was to help my father while he was sick with cancer. I wanted to be there for him during his last days of life. I like the fact that I am helping someone feel better and get through rough times. My personal achievement in my life was to make my father proud and succeed in my career. I enjoy helping others especially those who can't help themselves. I became a caregiver after my brother died in the hospital. He was severely beaten and succumbed to his injuries. After being with him for three weeks in the hospital I decided that this is what I wanted to do. I started taking a management course this year at The University of Denver. My mother inspired me to be a caregiver, she lost her eyesight due to diabetes and other health problems leaving me in charge of her health care for 12 years which included meal prepping a very restrictive diet, day to day chores, medication reminders, doctor appointments etc. Being a patient and caring person helped my mother when she was down. Years later I had the privilege to do patient care at a liposuction center where I realized that helping people is my calling and what I love to do.
