It has been my privilege to lovingly care for elderly people with dementia, starting with my mother-in-law. I enjoy entering their world and showing them the dignity, respect and gentle care our elders should have. I have become the trusted companion of each person I’ve cared for, and have served several of them for years at a time. Support for the family of the person I am companion to is a special part of my ministry. I am currently a part-time seminary student and simply love people. I was in the restaurant business for twenty years before my father became ill. I chose to quit my job and take care of him until he passed away. It was the best, most rewarding experience of my life and I would like to continue taking care of others.
