I have been a caregiver 40 years. Always had a good repore with elderly growing up. Being there to help a loved one played a major roll in my job. I've worked in Assisted living facilities, Nursing homes and absolutely love it. I've used machinery like hoyer lifts, and other things. I'd prefer to stay away from that and heavy lifting. I also had my own assisted living years ago in upstate Ny.. I'm very experienced and I make it my buisness to be punctual and dependable. I take pride in my skills and I do my very best at all times. I have a background where I took care of my Grandfather for two good years, when he fell and became hemipledgic. I have loved taking care of Seniors ever since. 1993. In 2004, I did my CNA, and I have worked as a caregiver ever since. I have seen Seniors go through geriatric challenges and I have been a very close person to them, until when they leave this word. I've always been the compassionate person caring for other even when I was teenager. Come up watching my mother and grandmother as nurses and childcare provider it became natural to me. So when started high school I enroll in Nurseing program pass with excellent grades during I class hours we went to nursing home for hand on experience I then new this was what I liked doing. During summer break of school I work at local nursing home facility also had to attend monthly educational inservices were I learn the RESIDENTS RIGHTS,HIPPA, BIOHAZARD POLICY and INFECTION CONTROL .

With the opportunity to assist others and being able to support someone brings joy to my day, not only is it good for me but others. I'll take full responsibility for ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for my clients while in my care providing patience, care, and stability. I am a very empathetic, compassionate and patient person. I enjoy working with the disabled, sick, elderly, children and anyone that can use the right nourishment and care. I'm extremely proud of my self because I didn't think I could do this with a busy schedule and so much dedication, but it has come natural to me to devote so much time and love into caring and spending time with my clients. It fills my heart to give families that peace of mind knowing that their loved ones are in good hands professionally and emotionally. I really enjoy what I do.

I love treating others well as a Caregiver because I always have it in mind that with life one should expect a lot of changes, challenges and experiences and these may be getting sick, accidents or growing old because it is the order of the day. So, I always imagine myself into that person's situation Iam caring for. The question that pops up in my head is what if that's me, my parents or my lovely daughter.
